Who Is HI-Minnesota?

The Minnesota Ironman Bicycle Ride is organized, managed and developed by a committee of volunteers, most of whom have been doing it for a dozen years or more, on behalf of Minnesota Council of Hostelling International (HI-MN). The proceeds from the bike ride go to benefit HI-MN, a 501 (c)(3) not-for-profit organization. We have managed the ride since its inception in 1967, working hard to make it the best bike ride in Minnesota.

You tax deductible contributions help pay for our staff, our educational programming, and our hostel operations of the Mississippi Headwaters Hostel in Itasca State Park. For more information, please visit our web site.

Travel Makes The World A Better Place

Our buisiness is about promoting international travel. We believe that travel makes the world a better place. Our mission is to: "develop culturally sensitive world citizens through educational programs, promotion of responsible travel, and positive hostelling experiences." We do this by offering clean, safe, budget accomodations world-wide and by offering travel education programming.

Thanks To Our 2009 Donors

The MIBR is our largest annual fundraiser. We are eternally grateful to our riders and our direct donors for their help in supporting our organization. You make our work possible.

In early May 2009, after the final ride numbers have been tallied, we will have a complete list of our 2009 donors here.
