Rider Numbers and Newsletter

Attention all MIBR riders: Make sure to check out the 2010 MIBR Rider Newsletter by clicking here. It includes important ride day info to make your day go more smoothly and enjoyably. Are you registered but looking for your Rider Number? Look up your Rider Registration Number here (if you gave us your email during registration). If there is any problem, you can always look it up ride morning in the alphabetized ride number books. Otherwise you can contact us in advance.

Weather + Clothing

We don’t cancel for weather. All things considered, the forecast looks pretty decent. They’re not predicting snow, anyway. Please join us ride day – and please make sure to dress appropriately. Mornings tend to be cool. Afternoon tend to be moderately warm. If nothing else, remember this: synthetic or wool clothing is good. Cotton is bad. If in doubt, check with your local bike shop. Merchandise

Your Ironman merchandise purchases will be ready and waiting for you after your ride. You must check back in after your ride to pick up your merchandise.We will not mail merchandise to riders. Please don’t forget it!

Erik’s Group Ride + Coupon Offer

Erik’s Bike Shop is giving away a $10 off coupon for their Erik’s Eden Prairie Grand Opening Event to anyone who shows up at the Iroman Bike Ride with any cycling jersey that has an Erik’s Bike Shop logo on it or any Ironman jersey. Pretty darn simple.  Riders can pick up their coupons before or after the ride at the Erik’s tent or the Specialized tent until 2:00 pm.

MIBR Theme Art 2010

Recreating The State Seal of Minnesota For The Great Minnesota Ironman (and Ironwoman) Bicycle Ride

In 1989 our Ironman artist, Pete May, created some cool t-shirt art by recreating the Minnesota State Seal for our bike ride.  (We’ve heard that the Minnesota Historical Society still has this t-shirt on display at the History Center.)  Now, 20 years later, we have decided to renew this idea and provide an updated version of the state seal for our 2010 Ironman theme art.   (Note that there is, of course, an Ironwoman shirt which features a woman cycling and a man behind the mower.) Our short and long sleeve shirts will showcase this design as will our 2010 MIBR jersey.  We hope you enjoy the 2010 theme art and realize it is created to bring attention to both biking and to our great state.
