Join Ride Director Jon Ridge for an orientation clinic on the Minnesota Ironman Bicycle Ride at REI Bloomington. Whether you are an MIBR veteran or a newbie, you are sure to learn something–or contribute something–to this information session. 2010 Route Maps Posted

Check out our Routes page for detailed 2010 maps – including a downloadable PDF. As always – please refer to the official route map which will be given out on ride morning. These maps are for advance viewing and planning only. You never know when we may have to tweak a route a little bit due to a farm auction or spontaneous road construction.

2010 Ride Guide Printed

The new 2010 MIBR Ride Guide has been printed. It will be arriving in your mailboxes soon! If you have already registered this year (online) please pass the Guide off to a buddy. Help us spread the word on the Minnesota Ironman. Thanks in advance!

Mail-in, Online, Team Registrations Now Open

All registration for the Minnesota Ironman Bicycle Ride is now open for both mail-in and online registration. Team registration is also open. Rally the troops and sign up early. Our 2010 Ride Guide has been printed and mailed. You can download one above if you did not receive one by Friday, Feb. 5, 2010.

Price For 2010 MIBR Pre-Ride Registration

• $30 Adult
  
• $15 Youth (17 & under)

Why would anyone want to register now for a bike ride in April? Good question. Here are the answers:

1. It saves you money. You know you want to ride anyway. May as well register now while prices are cheap!
2. Bragging Rights: It doesn’t hurt to leave your completed registration form laying on your desk for your coworkers to see. (Get a group of 10 together and you’ve got yourself a team. Everybody saves $5 on their registration.)
3. It’s a training goal. As the first major ride of the year – you need to stay in decent shape throughout the winter. Use the MIBR as your training goal!
4. You are a dedicated, organized person. It feels good to be all set for April 25th, 2010.

Method: You may register online, by mail-in, and on the day of the ride.

MIBR Theme Art 2010

The Great Minnesota Ironman Bicycle Ride

In 1989 our Ironman artist, Pete May, created some cool t-shirt art by recreating the Minnesota State Seal for our bike ride.  (We’ve heard that the Minnesota Historical Society still has this t-shirt on display at the History Center.)  Now, 20 years later, we have decided to renew this idea and provide an updated version of the state seal for our 2010 Ironman theme art.   (Note that there is, of course, an Ironwoman shirt which features a woman cycling and a man behind the mower.) Our short and long sleeve shirts will showcase this design as will our 2010 MIBR jersey.  We hope you enjoy the 2010 theme art and realize it is created to bring attention to both biking and to our great state.
