The Minnesota Ironman Bicycle Ride was established in 1967. We are the oldest running century (100 mile) bike ride in the state. This year the ride takes place on Sunday, May 6, 2012 in Lakeville, MN.
This year marks the 2nd annual Minnesota Gran Fondo. A Gran Fondo (meaning roughly “big ride” in Italian) is a timed cycling event for all ages and abilities. These rides are hugely popular throughout Europe, and gaining momentum here in the U.S.
The Minnesota Ironman Bicycle Ride is owned and managed by Hostelling International USA Minnesota Council, a 501 (c)3 non-profit organization established in 1955 in Minnesota. This is the largest annual fundraiser for HI-MN.
